While hunting for houses in Houston back in July, I claimed one night for myself and attended an art show in Huntsville I’d been long anticipating. Braving vicious thunderstorms, Kerry, Heather, and I made the long drive up from Houston, made even longer by the stop-and-go traffic that hindered our egress through the heart of the city, the blinding sheets of rain, and an almost palpable fog at times. At some point north of Houston the rain cleared suddenly, sunshine broke, and we flew the rest of the way.

The first annual counter-culture art show of Huntsville featured the works of Kevin Sechelski, Jamie Winn, Beeks, Jody Donaho, Jeru Gabriel, Y. E. Torres, and Julie Zarate. It was a bit smaller and less populated than we expected, but we had a splendid time anyway. The after party was a blast, too. I know it’s been f.o.r.e.v.e.r. but I just wanted to share images of the lovely Julie Zarate and Jamie Winn with their respective work.
